8.14.2010	Susan B. Anthony 5k Race	Founded in 1976, the Susan B. Anthony (SBA) 5k gives women runners and walkers the opportunity to compete strictly against other women. The race has been successful every year in providing women with a non-intimidating atmosphere to challenge themselves to run or walk farther or faster than they may previously have. While the race attracts competitive women runners from all over Northern California, the field is composed primarily of Sacramento-based fitness runners. For many, the Susan B. 9.25.2010	Breast Cancer Ribbon Tour-End of Tour Celebration	South Placer Art in Public Places is announcing its inaugural South Placer Art in Public Places Tour this year. Be among the first to participate in this exciting community event as either a corporate or private sponsor, artist, or "tourist". Each year the South Placer Art in Public Places will bring public awareness to the importance of art in our community. As important, each year a selected charitable partner(s) will be the recipient of the net proceeds from that year’s event. This year we are raising funds for breast cancer awareness and the fight against breast cancer. 9.25.2010	Nine Girls Ask - 2nd Annual Luncheon	Guests will enjoy complimentary wine tasting from select vintners throughout the Southern California region. In addition, wonderful raffle items and silent auction items will go home with some lucky winners. There will also be educational booths providing pertinent information about ovarian cancer. A sumptuous lunch will be provided at 1:00 pm at which time guests will have the opportunity to bid on some incredible live auction items. Of course, the program will include SURPRISE ENTERTAINMENT. 9.25.2010	19th Annual Women of Taste Event	Women of Taste is one of the largest food and wine events in the East Bay. Held on September 25, 2010 at the Kaiser Rooftop Garden in Oakland. The event features tastings from leading Bay Area restaurants and beverage purveyors. Komen Race for the Cure	Komen Oregon, in partnership with the State of Oregon, was able to provide more than 2,600 mammograms in the past five years to uninsured and lowincome women in Lane County – but thousands more remain uninsured and in need of screenings. Komen Race for the Cure	The Hawaii Race will appeal to the serious and casual runner, but most importantly it will appeal to those that have been touched by the disease and those who recognize the need to combat it.
