“I wanted to do more with my life and be around like-minded people,” she told Go Girl.

Sascha embraces the Boho style and funds her love for clothes by working at her favorite store, Buckle. When she’s putting together outfits, she’s always thinking about the colors, design, and patterns, and how she can make that work with the changing seasons. “I like to follow trends because I love being up-to-date, going out, and having people look at my style and think it’s a reflection of me. It’s fun,” she explains.

Bright and cozy on this chilly Seattle winter day, Katie’s got a lot going on. She’s married, working as a dental assistant, and expecting a baby this fall! She loves keeping warm in this red fur-lined puffer vest, but her favorite piece is always her newest. (Right now, it’s a long gray cardigan she just picked up!)
When asked if she could have anyone’s closet that she wanted, who would it be? “I love how smart and edgy Lucy Liu’s style is on Elementary. I’d dress like her.”

Visiting her home in Seattle for the holidays, Kailey will soon head back to California, where she studies marketing and communications at a private college. Kailey refuses to stick to any one look, although she thinks the high-waisted trend is fun to wear right now. She told Go Girl that she likes that particular trend because it’s risky, and more difficult to pull off – so when she does, it feels great!
“I think it’s easy to get hung up on staying unique to your particular brand,” she says. “It’s also fun to branch out and experiment.”

Nina is a freelance writer based in Portland. When she’s not writing, you can find Nina hiking, doing yoga, or taking hip hop and jazz classes. Some of her favorite things? Martinis, fashion, and good food! We loved Nina’s unique poncho.

Selina’s style is a mix of vintage and name brands… her cool vintage skirt plays well with her modern denim jacket. We caught Selina while on her way to work at a local paper and craft store. Needless to say, Selina is a big fan of crafting and creativity. She’s studying music education, and dreams of teaching private flute lessons in her home.
“It’s cliche, but music is such a universal language,” she told Go Girl, “Everyone enjoys it!”

Sarah is an account coordinator at an advertising agency in Portland, but her creativity isn’t all used at work. She says she loves to craft on her free time. Friends describe her style as hippy, but Sarah insists that her style isn’t very thought out – rather, she wears what she wants based on her mood.
“I get a lot of my clothes through clothing exchanges,” she told Go Girl. “I’m actually hosting one tonight!”
A perfect balance of comfy and fashionable is how Ashley describes her sense of style. One of Ashley’s favorite ways to dress up any outfit is to throw on a pair of her favorite heels! This law student spends a lot of time in school studying, but she loves to shop the sales and spend time outdoors when she can.
“This is my last week of winter break,” she told Go Girl, “So I’m trying to do everything fun before classes start again. I actually just found out that I’ll be interning in Turkey this summer, so that’s exciting!”

Elyse is studying clinical psychology in San Francisco, but in her free time, this lady loves to spend time with her friends and enjoy the great outdoors. However, living in the great Northwest, her activities are often dictated by the weather.
“In the summer I love to go hiking and camping,” she told Go Girl, “but I enjoy tea and movies when it’s cold out.”

Go Girl caught up with Alena while shopping with her grandparents and husband. Originally from Moscow, Alena moved to Oregon to be with her sweetheart. She says she loves fashion, and describes her style as classic. We agree! Her #1 passion? Ballroom dancing.
“I was a professional ballroom dancer in Russia until the age of 17,” she told Go Girl, “It’s my favorite thing to do.”

We ran into Beth with her friend at her favorite bookstore in Portland while looking for course books. Originally from Portland, Beth is studying in Southern California and loving it! It’s clear that this bubbly undeclared major has a bright future ahead. We picked Beth out from the crowd because of her cool sweater.
“This is actually my mom’s sweater. I took it out of her closet this morning,” she told Go Girl, “So, I ‘ll let her know you like it!”

Madison’s style is eclectic, and she’s not afraid to wear something daring. Madison is a film student from Southern California, currently on a weeklong trip with her sister Hayden in the city of Portland.

Go Girl caught up with Hayden while at a coffee shop in Portland with her sister… the two are visiting from California! Hayden recently graduated with a degree in broadcast digital media, and is looking forward to finding a great job in the industry. She says her style is eclectic, and she loves to find cool vintage pieces.
“I like 90’s style,” she told Go Girl, “I guess I’d describe my style as soft grunge.”

A college student working nearly full time, Ashley is a girl on the go! With her warm smile and easy laugh, we know her hope to go into nursing will be a great success. When asked about her style, she tells us she’s attracted to darker colors – especially during the dark Seattle winter! Her outfit is usually complete with a Neff beanie and a scarf.
“Beanies are my thing. If I can work a beanie into an outfit, I’m complete,” she explains.

Meaghan handles Communications and IT for a very busy military support agency, and with her crazy schedule, she insists that comfort is first when choosing her daily outfits. Beyond work, Meaghan is an experienced traveller – she recently made it her goal to visit five new places every year. Since she travels so often, she always picks up one new piece of jewelry wherever she goes.
“My criteria is that I buy whatever speaks to me,” Meagan told Go Girl. “I have a favorite sterling silver bracelet that I bought in St. Ives for 60£, and a $5 plastic ring with a steel band that I bought in Alaska.”

Kaitlyn is moving back to Seattle this weekend from the college town she’s been living in. She loves that everything in her life is totally up in the air right now: she finds it beyond exciting! When asked about her signature style, Kaitlyn told Go Girl she is very much inspired by two things: a fashion diary called Color Me Nana, and her sister Rachael.
“I want to wear outlandish things, but I live in a college town,” Kaitlyn smiled. “I don’t want to be the girl everyone is staring at.”

College student Sarah is a criminal justice major, and hopes to someday become an investigator. She loves the idea of helping people that can’t help themselves, and we loved that about her. Style-wise, we absolutely fell in love with the striking combo of her gorgeous red locks and hazel eyes. Sarah told Go Girl that her favorite places to shop are Urban Outfitters and H&M.
“I just wear what I want and I don’t really care if people don’t like it,” Sarah laughs.

Michelle describes her style as bohemian chic, and says that her favorite brands are Free People and Levi’s. Working in the advertising industry, Michelle wears business casual clothing during the work week. On her free time she likes to wear long flowing dresses and fedora hats.
“I grew up going to garage sales with my mom,” she told Go Girl, “I find them interesting because you have the opportunity to learn more about the object you’re buying from the person who’s selling it. You get to know it’s past life, which is especially interesting when it comes to clothes.”

Go Girl caught Hannah on her way to grab a coffee while on break from her retail job. Hannah is the manager at a store called Katmandu, and travelled all the way to Portland from Wisconsin to help get the company’s second store going. Hannah loves working for a small company that invests in hand-made, fair trade garments.
“When East Indian people come into the store, they say I look like a yogi or shaman,” she told Go Girl, “So I guess that means my style falls into the bohemian category.”

Go Girl caught up with New Jersey transplant Dianna on the Porthand State University campus, where she is attending grad school. Her style is classic, and she loves to wear brand names. Dianna’s true passion, however, is music. She teaches kids all about percussion with a studio called RMC Studios.
“I loved learning about music growing up,” she told Go Girl, “The main mission of the studio is to give kids the opportunity to enjoy music.”

Celine caught our eye because of her unique leggings. What do you think of them? This recent college grad is working in retail and dreams of a career as an opera singer. Get it girl! Her go-to clothing piece is a blazer, because you can class up any outfit by wearing one.
“My style is usually pretty simple,” she told Go Girl, “so the leather leggings are a bit of a fashion risk for me!”

Erin is a super friendly young lady we met on the streets of Portland; we think she is doing a great job of keeping warm, while still looking very put-together and classic! Erin is a jewelry designer, works as a server at a local restaurant, and is a bi-lingual substitute teacher for high school students.
“I really like people,” she told Go Girl, “I like watching the kids I teach get excited about learning.”

According to her friends, Jenna is the life of the party! She’s super social and gets along with everyone. Her style is eclectic, and she likes to mix simple basics with bright colors. In her free time she like to ride motorcycles, snowboard, and explore new bars and cafes with her friends.
“I think my style is kind of sporty, but with a girly twist,” she told Go Girl. “I like to wear bright colors and be experimental with my hair and nail polish colors.”
