Zoe had hair to her mid-back up until a month ago, when she decided to go short and donate it all to Locks of Love. She rocks it with sweet soft pink barely-there makeup and a tiny bit of pomade. If you’re hoping to get the dish on her hair color, forget it. It’s her natural color! (No fair!)
“I never thought about cutting my hair short til a bunch of people in a row were like, ‘you would look good in short hair’, so I just did it. I’m too lazy to deal with hair!”

Go Girl caught up with Sahara while she was on her way to a job interview at Forever 21. She’s dressed to impress! We love her bold lipstick and Aritzia dress. Besides fashion, Sahara’s passion is photography. She shoots film now, and is hoping to be able to afford a new digital camera soon. This small town native is planning a move to Portland in the near future and is lining up a couple jobs.
“I want to move to Portland because it’s a bigger city, and a lot of my friends have already moved here. Plus, there’s better shopping!”

California native Yoshi is a veteran bargain hunter! She gets name brand pieces for great prices while shopping at Ross and Kohl’s. Her faux leather jacket caught our eye while she was shopping at the mall during her break from work. This soft-spoken California native moved to Portland at the recommendation of a friend, and is loving the lifestyle.
“In my free time I like to read, surf the web, and shop,” she told Go Girl.

Kathryn was happy to chat with us while working at a boutique called Scotch & Soda, a new shop to the Portland area. Her style is unique, and we love her patterned pants and stunning accessories. Kathryn was working at Anthropologie and going to college in California when she fell in love with her Oregonian boyfriend. After 2 years of long distance, she decided to move north to be with her sweetheart.
“I decided that I needed a change,” she told Go Girl.

Go Girl caught up with Rebekah on her way out for the evening. She’s planning on meeting up with her boyfriend to go out to a local bar. Portland nightlife style is relatively laid back, and Rebekah says she loves to wear pieces inspired by menswear, like the shoes she’s wearing tonight – and button downs! She was excited to get energized with a can of Go Girl before heading out! This University of Oregon student likes to blog and take pictures, as well as follow style blogs.
“Some of my favorite style blogs right now are Song of Style, Who What Where, and Refinery 29,” she told Go Girl. Now she’ll have the Go Girl Passion Meets Fashion blog to follow!

Taylor works for a well-know farm-to-table restaurant in NW Portland, and is a student at Portland State University. She juggles her school work and job with ease, and recently got a cute new lab/boxer mix puppy! This bohemian girl says she loves everything Free People makes! At work, Taylor has to wear all black, so she likes to jazz up her look with interesting hairstyles. We love her milk maid braid.
“I like to wear clothes that are flowery and patterned. I like the loose-fitting hippy style,” she told Go Girl.
Hair: Milk Maid Braid. Here’s a great video tutorial if you want to try it for yourself.
Beneath her sporty exterior, Kendrix showed off some feminine features. Her sun-kissed brown hair was in a pretty braid and her nails were painted a fire-engine red with a sparkly white design. While you’d normally spot this athlete wearing a ponytail, she said she just decided to do something different with her locks today.
“I think I’m really sporty,” say Kendrix who wore a bandage around her ankle and walked with the help of a pair of crutches thanks to a sports injury. “I usually wear pants and some sort of t-shirt or sweatshirt.”
Don’t let the flirty skirt and adorable knee-high socks fool you. Dee says her style is a far cry from the cutsie school girl Go Girl saw her wearing on her way to work. When hanging out with her boyfriend and attending shows, this adorable fashionista says she usually rocks old-school Harley tees and band shirts.
“I’m into vintage,” says Dee who has worked at American Apparel for a year and a half. The San Diegan says you can thank her employer for her head-to-toe look (minus the jacket). She gets a discount on the clothes and a clothing stipend from the apparel company. Dee says she is so into vintage that she has her own Etsy shop (since1985) where she sells vintage items.

Mariane works at an upscale salon and is excited to go to esthetician school soon. She wears black, gray and white to work, so most of her closet is getting filled with those colors, and then tries to find things to mix and match to make that stylish.
“Simple is the best,” she tells us!

Viviana loves to dress in a retro unique fashion – she never wants to dress like anyone else; she likes her own style, which always includes bright colors, especially in her accessories or her nails. We were so taken with her gorgeous silver hair! She was golden blonde a few days ago; she wanted something different for Valentine’s Day.
“I wanted to do something different. I was debating whether to do this (silver) or to do something brown, but you can always do brown. Let’s do silver, let’s go crazy!”
We escaped the downpour this afternoon and ducked into Ulta, where we found the lovely Brynn, who filled us in on the latest beauty trend: eyebrows! She absolutely loves her job, and was happy to explain that she achieves her perfect brows. Having them shaped is important, she says, and using a concealer on the concealer brush to carve out a crisp edge right under the brow, giving you the appearance of flawless brows. She follows that with Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Genius loose brow powder, then seals it with the included waterproof gel on an angled brush.
“It’s a new trend. Definitely in the 90s it was all about having really soft brows. You didn’t really see dramatic makeup. Now it’s all about that retro Hollywood glamour type style.”

Her bubbly, outgoing personality matches her eccentric style. She has her very own style blog, too! She featured the same outfit on her blog shygirlloudvoice.com. Kacie says she likes to shop at thrifts stores and online on the Mojave site.
“I would describe my style as over the top,” she told Go Girl. “I’m a bohemian girl.”

Even in her Sports Chalet work uniform, Taylor still manages to show off her personal style. She accents her gorgeous, bronze-colored eyes with bold eyeliner, and tucked away behind her mass of beautiful, dark hair is a single dread lock. A past boyfriend started the dread for her and it took about three months for it to actually lock. While her current ensemble doesn’t represent her usual style, Taylor says she does like the clothes from Sports Chalet, which sells brands like Roxy and Billabong.
“When I’m not at work, I like trendy, hippy styles like long skirts,” says Taylor, who has worked at Sports Chalet for a year and a half. “I love wearing hats and love dangly earrings.” Her makeup inspiration comes from reality television star Kim Kardashian, and she gets some of her outfit ideas from Instagram photos.

We caught Kahi while on her way out with a friend for the night. Their first stop is a local college bar on the edge of the University of Oregon campus. Visiting from California, this young lady knows how to deal with the rainy Oregon weather in style. Her cute Victoria’s Secret umbrella is a great touch. Kahi’s style is preppy, and she loves to shop.
“Nordstrom is my favorite place to shop,” she told Go Girl. “I spend all my money there!”

Though her light grey stretch jeans were hand-me-downs from her mother in law, Liz proved that moms don’t have to wear mom jeans. She was out with her daughter Autumn when Go Girl was drawn to the pair’s matching color scheme. Liz, who lives in Oceanside, works as a makeup artist and isn’t shy about experimenting with her look.
“You have to show your inner beauty,” says Liz, who draws inspiration from adorably quirky actress Zooey Deschanel. “You wear clothes instead of them wearing you.”

Mandy doesn’t consider herself a fashionista. She likes to wear what appeals to her: simple, classy, contemporary pieces, rather than whatever trendy style is being marketed to her. Instead, she goes for what she’s comfortable wearing.
“I wouldn’t say I’m trendy, but I like style. Every girl likes to look pretty. It helps on my days off – I like to dress up!”

Looking put together in sportswear can be tricky. We think Rachel pulled it off perfectly! We loved her clean, simple, casual style. She’s a flight attendant, so she wears a uniform complete with stockings to work, and loves to be comfortable on her days off. That doesn’t stop her from having style!
“My mom says that you can have champagne taste and a beer budget! Nordstrom Rack is my jam!” she laughs.

We were obsessed with the yellow Kate Spade bag on the left. The bright, sunny color on a stormy, wet Seattle afternoon really improved our mood! A few minutes later, we noticed Marjon with her yellow handbag and had to catch up with her!
“I wanted something different. I had to downsize my bag; I would put every electronic gadget in my purse if I could because I think that I need it, and I really don’t!” she laughs.
Yellow handbag: Vince Camuto
Abby was feeling a little too shy to be on camera but agreed to let Go Girl feature her super cute Michael Kors bag and New Balance kicks. Her style is influenced by Chinese and Japanese fashion.
“I like to incorporate bright colors and patterns,” she told Go Girl.

Rachel says she gets her amazing style from her many trips to New York. While there, she checks out the people on the streets and then brings back ideas. That’s where she found the scarf she’s wearing – in a little wholesale shop, for around $10.
What she likes best about New York? “I just like watching the people on the streets and seeing how they dress, how they put outfits together, how they mix and match things, and how they accessorize. They’re way more out there than I would ever be, but it gives me ideas!”
Tunic dress: Forever 21
We loved the way Mila accessorized her all black outfit! The white belt and the animal print scarf look amazing! She says she looks for pieces that fit her well and look classic, edgy, feminine.
Most days, she says “Leggings are my biggest thing. Leggings and a shirt and I’m good!”

Karla planned to have a photoshoot on the beach with her boyfriend to celebrate their one-year-anniversary, but first she needed to buy a shirt. Go Girl caught up with her in San Marcos, after she’d just finished some shopping! The full-time student’s gym attire would lead you to believe that she had just finished a class at the gym, but she said she dressed for comfort instead.
“I draw inspiration from Wanelo, a website,” says Karla, a hostess at a restaurant. She says her style is generally “cute but casual” and she loves to frequent Nordstrom Rack.

We couldn’t pass up Sarah and all of the gorgeous colors in the Kate Spade store! She’s obsessed with fashion and style and had some great points to share! Sarah explains that metallics are the new neutral. She says everyone needs a basic nude shoe, but also a metallic to just pump it up a bit! Wear them with black pants, a white button down, and classic jewelry!
“People always ask me what my style is, and I say it depends on what day you catch me. It’s really what you’re vibing with and what you want to channel. Self expression is really your style!”
